Feel the chalk

Drawing with chalk is probably the most beautiful form of art. I love drawing with chalk. Chalk is such a natural feeling. It is messy, smooth, and a challenge. When drawing a portrait of a human being the chalk gives it the delicacy and extra concentration to make it very realistic. When I come into class with chalk on my face and hands it shows my hard work. I love doing portraits because of the extra details that I have to take. Chalk gives the opportunity to make me work faster but proficantley through out my entire piece a chalk piece usually takes my at least two hours depending on the size. Everyone should try using chalk to draw. Even if it is just sidewalk chalk it is a beautiful medium that most people are afraid to use. It creates a natural feel. I always get asked what medium I love, and That is the answer to my favorite medium to use is chalk.
