Blog #7 College Life
College is hard. It is physically and emotionally stressful and exhausting. At first I thought I was not going to attend college at all. Until UNC offered me the best gift of all the housing scholarship. Which is the biggest blessing I could ever ask for. I received this scholarship three weeks before school started. So imagine having a month to pack your entire life. It has been a bittersweet experience. I had to leave my life behind right when it started getting great. I'm in a healthy relationship, my job was going great, and my parents and I were getting along. I grew up in what I would call a "pit stop town." I used to hate it because it is a very small town. Ever since I moved I miss it more than anything. I took everything for granted when I lived there and now I wish I wouldn't have taken the quiet life for granted. I definatly do not want to go back to high school but sometimes it is hard to know if I did indeed make the right decision coming here. The college life is fun and I am getting used to Greeley. Nothing will ever beat the view of the sunset out my bedroom window, my moms hugs, or seeing the people I love everyday.

Greetings Jordan,
ReplyDeleteI understand what you are going through. College has been really difficult so far. Trying to manage your time and find balance in school and social life. It can't be all school school school all the time, we need to also have fun but not too much fun. It is definitely different from high school, I do not want to go back to high school but I sometimes miss it. All this will be worth it at the end so just keep your eyes on the prize at the end and you will make it. I believe in you.
Jordan, I do not know you but you seem pretty cool. I am happy that you are attending college and that you got the scholarship. I grew up in Chicago, which is a pretty big city then I moved to Colorado Springs which is a big city but not like Chicago. I know it sucks moving to a different place, I never lived in the same place for more than 3 years but sometimes moving is good because you are exposed to pretty good things.
